This watch is great. It is stylish and very functional. I love using it to check splits while swimming, running. It has three alarms and even a date alarm. I really like the strap, it has a safety lock too, so it is a little hard to get off, but thats a good thing. I hope I don’t need to buy one again anytime soon, but when I do I would buy this one again (infact this is my 3rd Timex Ironman in 20 years, they last a long time.
I bought this watch to replace an earlier model with substantially the same gizmos. The two time zones come in very handy when I travel. When I’m not traveling, I keep it so I know what time it is for one of my children living in Europe. I use Rado R18563233 the timer all the time, so I don’t get a parking ticket where there’s a meter, when to take a next dose of medicine when that is needed. It has lots of other features, but I dont’ use them. What I use are important to me, and they work well. I had my other watch for about 6 years of hard use, went through 2 wrist bands. That’s not as long, perhaps as some, but this is not an expensive watch. Plus, it looks good. I have a small wrist, so a woman’s watch is preferable to a big clunky mans watch, that looks as if it’s hard to lift.
I was looking into MANY different watches, comparing each one, looking at the differences between models, and etc. I couldn’t find a ton of info on the capabilities of this watch, besides the basic functions of having a stopwatch, splits, laps, and a few alarms. I found a website that verified it did in fact measure distance and track calories. I didn’t care so much about the calories, but I was really excited to hear that it did measure distance. Well, I bought the watch, took it out of the package, put it on and discovered NO it doesn’t measure your distance. BUMMER! I was so sad. The whole reason I bought the watch was because I wanted something that would measure my distance on unknown routes. So, if you’re looking for a watch that measures distance, this is not the one for you.
BUT, besides the fact that I’m silly and trusted an unreliable source, this watch is great! It works well for what it is meant to do. It’s small, but not too small. Comfortable. Set up is fairly easy. I only referred to the manual once. It’s pretty simple, but I think that’s good. You’re not going to want to push 12 different buttons to do something while you’re running! The only thing I do miss out on is the distance. But I know what my average pace is, so I can guess as to what I’ve approximately ran. All in all, I’m a tad disappointed, but that’s no ones fault but mine! It’s a good watch…
